Minnesota Professional Engineers Foundation
In 1962, members of MnSPE founded the Minnesota Professional Engineers Foundation (MPEF). Today, MPEF provides over $30,000 in scholarships to deserving engineering students each year and supports the annual MATHCOUNTS math competition and enrichment program for over 1,000 Minnesota middle school students.

Mission: The Minnesota Professional Engineers Foundation is a nonprofit foundation affiliated with the Minnesota Society of Professional Engineers. The foundation provides funding for educational activities that encourage and support Professional Engineers and those aspiring to be PEs.
Vision: The Foundation is the major resource supporting students pursuing professional engineering as a viable and rewarding career. Through these efforts, parents and educators will understand and value the many contributions of engineers in improving our lives and will support engineering as a career. MnSPE members will understand that they are Foundation members and view MPEF as an integral component of a professional association.
Goals
Visibility: Increase the visibility of the Foundation, awareness of its activities and link MnSPE and MPEF membership.
Capacity: Ensure that the Foundation has strong, vital leadership, from the Board, staff, and volunteers to create a vibrant and effective organization.
Fund Development: Increase the foundation’s assets through gifts, investments and fundraising activities.
Fund Distribution: Broaden the use of Foundation assets to educate elementary, junior high and high schools students about engineering careers and provide more scholarships and internships for undergraduate and post-graduate engineering students.
Activities: Increase Foundation involvement in activities that support the vision and mission of the Foundation.
