David Fautsch, MBA PE PMPMNsPE Title: Director
Member Title: Senior Project Manager
Where do you work: IDOM
I have been at IDOM since 2016 as a Senior Mechanical Engineer and Project Manager leading and supporting new facility and expansion projects across the country in the Power, Oil & Gas, Astronomy, and Biorefining Sectors. Prior to joining IDOM, I spent 6 years at Honeywell UOP, with my last position serving as Global Mechanical Technology Coordinator for a variety of Refining and Petrochemical Technologies with responsibilities for new unit design, sales support, existing equipment evaluations, and unit troubleshooting. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Minnesota. I am licensed in 9 states and hold 2 US Patents.
What does serving on the MnSPE board mean to you?
I have been a member since 2016 and a Board of Director since 2019. I have also been involved in the Young Engineers Committee and MATHCOUNTS. I feel that it is important to provide input and perspective to the board and the organization, as a young professional engineer still in the “early” phase of my career, which reflects what current and future engineers are looking for in their professional organizations. I am also very interested in identifying ways to help the organization grow its presence in the Minnesota Engineering Community.
