Jason Femrite, PE, and a principal engineer for Bolton & Menk in Mankato is MnSPE’s 2023 Engineer of the Year.

Jason is a long-time member of MnSPE and has served in various officer positions for MnSPE and the Traverse Des Sioux Chapter. He volunteers at Minnesota State University Mankato in the civil engineering program and has served as MnSPE’s Young Engineer Liaison and volunteers for STEAM events in the Mankato area. Jason is a dedicated board member of Feeding our Communities Partners, an organization that strives to eliminate childhood hunger by providing meals to students for weekends or breaks from school.

And Jason is passionate about the waters of Southern Minnesota. As President of the Lake Washington Improvement Association Board he has worked to improve the Lake’s water quality. Under his leadership, the organization has installed storm sirens, educated property owners, leased land for a watershed pond to improve the quality of water flowing into the lake, and much more.

MnSPE President Dave Martini, PE, presented the Engineer of the Year Award to Jason Femrite, PE, in a special ceremony in Mankato.
