Congratulations to HGA and Carver County on receiving the 2025 MnSPE Public Health Project Award at the 2025 MnSPE Annual Meeting.

The project, led by HGA with contributions from WSB, ESI Engineering, and RJM Construction, is a testament to how thoughtful design can enhance a community’s quality of life. This phased comprehensive plan transforms Lake Waconia Regional Park to meet the needs of its growing community, fostering recreation and social connections. The newly constructed Paradise Commons pavilion anchors the park as a destination for residents and visitors alike.

The space offers both indoor and outdoor facilities for public gatherings, along with expanded services such as boat and paddleboard rentals.

Recognition for the project was accepted by Abby Bosel, Andrew Holmgren, and Jake Turgeon from HGA, alongside Darin Mielke representing Carver County.

The Minnesota Society of Professional Engineers (MnSPE) is proud to announce the recipients of the 2025 Project Awards. These awards celebrate the dedication and innovation of professional engineers whose projects protect and enhance the public’s health, safety, and welfare.
