Kerry Cooley Bruggemann, PE, LEED-AP, was recently named one of 40 Minnesota leaders under 40.

Bruggemann, now Principal of Sales at Michaud, Cooley, Erickson, was elected MnSPE President in 2014 and served as the organization’s treasurer. She recently offered some words of encouragement to all rising engineers, saying “Take your FE and quickly follow it with your PE. It is a credential that no one can ever take away from you and it is so much easier to do earlier in your career. Take the time, invest in yourself. You never know when you are going to want that.”

“I was inspired for a career in engineering by seeing my father and grandfather as engineers. However, in high school (at Benilde-St. Margaret’s) I got involved in a class called Advanced Competitive Science that really fueled my interest in engineering. College proved to me that engineering was what I wanted to do and I am so grateful I stuck through it!”
