In the series “meet a member,” we will be highlighting members of the Minnesota Society of Professional Engineers. This week, meet Brian Malm, Principal Engineer of Bolton & Menk, Inc., and member of the MnSPE Legislative Advocacy Committee.

Brian works as the Consultant City Engineer for several cities, and manages Bolton & Menk’s operations in SE MN.

He has been an active member of NSPE and MnSPE since 1999, and has filled leadership roles at both the chapter and state society level, from committee member to president. Brian is currently a member of the MnSPE Legislative Advocacy Committee. At the national level, he has served as the Minnesota HOD representative, NSPE Director, NSPE Membership Committee Chair, and currently serving as NSPE Vice President.

When asked what does having a Professional License means to him, she answered:

“I’m proud to be a Licensed Professional Engineer. We’re charged with protecting the health, safety, and welfare of the public and I take that charge very seriously.”
