Oath of the Engineer
Four Minnesota PEs took the Oath of the Engineer at the April 25 MnSPE meeting. The oath was administered by Kodi Ver Halen, PE, and an attorney with Taft Law, which hosted the April 25 event. Three name, name, name took the Oath for the first time and became members of the Order of the Engineer. Tracy LaVere, PE, renewed her oath, as a member of the Order of the Engineer.
The Order has no membership fees and no meetings – it represents a lifetime commitment to the highest principles of the engineering profession. Members of the Order receive a stainless-steel ring and wear it on the little finger of their working hand so that it touches all their work. The ring is a symbol of the engineers’ dedication to their profession.
